Minivan shoppers, rejoice. The cost of bringing home the completely redesigned 2011 Toyota Sienna will be $280 less than buying a 2010 model. Toyota revealed its kid-hauler will start at $25,060, including $800 for destination.
That price puts you into a base Sienna equipped with a new 2.7-liter I-4 and a six-speed automatic transmission. The I-4 allows the Sienna to return class-leading fuel economy figures of 19/26 mpg (city/highway). Standard features on the Sienna include cruise control, tri-zone climate control, remote keyless entry, and a power driver's seat. A 3.5-liter V-6 is available, and bumps the pricing by approximately $1200.
The $26,145 LE model carries similar content, but buyers will receive some extra kit by springing for the V-6 model, which adds $3555 to that price figure. V-6 models add dual power sliding doors, a rear-view camera, a USB audio input, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, and other features as standard equipment. LE V-6 models can also be had in all-wheel-drive form, which bumps the sticker price to $31,930.
The XLE model, available only with the 3.5-liter V-6, adds leather seats, a moonroof, security system, and heated front seats. Front-wheel drive models sticker for $32,975, while adding AWD bumps the price to $35,315.
Those wanting a fully loaded Sienna will likely jump to the Limited model, which runs $39,300 for a front-wheel-drive model and $40,570 for an all-wheel-drive variant. Standard features include second-row lounge seating, a power-folding third-row seat, front and rear parking sonar assists, and power-opening dual moonroofs. HID headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and dynamic cruise control are available.
Enthusiasts may like the all-new SE model, which adds a touch of sportiness to the Sienna's exterior and suspension. At $31,350, the SE includes 19-inch wheels, a lowered sport suspension, and smoked exterior lamps.
Production of the 2011 Sienna begins next month, and the minivan is due to arrive at dealerships in February 2010.
